Excellent service from Louth Urology

5/5

Very well looked after by staff, it is the first time I have been rung the next day by the consultant to check that I was feeling well.
The only complaint I have is the public toilet was in a badly uncleaned state, but it was 7.30 a.m.

Ratings for Fotherby Ward
So caring, couldn't fault staff. Hungry and made toast when I needed it. Allowed mobile to contact relatives who live away. Anaesthetist came up before and after hip replacement surgery. Rang and passed on best wishes to me also. Could not get better treatment.Been to other hospitals and this was the best. Scared but had laugh and used ipad for music. Banter with staff helped me relax, they allayed all fears I had.

I have had several appointments at this hospital and always had great service from the doctors and nurses.

Always choose Louth

The Service offered, and Staff attitude are excellent - as is the cleanliness and other facilities. Occasionally, their communication skills, sence of timing, and urgency lack in their administrative areas - luckily not too serious! Just a pity that one has to be charged for parking ones car whilst undergoing consultation or surgery etc. However, I can understand why they do it. Having the big shop in Lincoln is not a viable nor sensible answer, whereas facilities like Louth are - and the building is in existence.

Re Learning disabilities community dental service. Provides an excellent Holistic service. Facility is very small with no room for a hoist-a great disadvantage as my daughter is a wheelchair user and unable to transfer to the dental chair. Dentist is an outstanding professional always calm and patient and prepared to go the extra mile to provide excellent dental care for our disabled daughter.

Care and attention by staff excellent. Pleasant, relaxed and informal.

I have just had my 2nd total knee replacement and so pleased with all aspects of my treatment, care and outcome. I have had numerous operations at Louth County and always been treated with kindness and professionalisim Iv'e never had an infection and the Fotherby ward is spotlessly clean. The care and professionalisim is on a par with private health care. I have always recommended Louth County as a wonderful gem of a small hospital and we are so lucky to have it.

X Ray
I have recently had an xray at Louth Hospital and I was most happy with their service. I also had an MRI scan at Louth about the same time, also a great service. All in all a very happy customer!

Although having an endoscopy procedure is not pleasant - the overall care I received was top drawer, professional, efficient, caring and reassuring. Many thanks

Very easy access. What could be made better is my referral process to the right consultant. I had two visits that were unnecessary due to mix up of appointment.

We find that Lincolnshire NHS offers a good service. We live in Mablethorpe and have to travel but we are wiling to do this for the good service.

MRI Unit -Poor communication within the booking system, meant that the MRI unit had no details of my booking. I then subsequently had to wait until they could retrieve my notes even though I had rung the Louth booking service the week before to confirm my appt with them. For the MRI I was required to book directly through Louth's booking system, which I did. I later received a letter from the NHS booking service to tell me that I hadn't made my MRI appt. When I ran them, they said you need to book it through Louth's own booking service which I had done originally. I therefore didn't understand why the NHS sent me a letter about booking my appt when they were unable to book my appt anyway. I then rang Louth again and they confirmed my appt had been made. 10 days after attending my appt at Louth I received another NHS boiking letter telling me I hadn't yet made my appt. The whole booking process appeared confusing and disorganised.

Doctor and nurse answered all questions I had.

4/5

Was confusion about where to go, hospital or surgery for appt. Then confused about where to get result.
Received lots of letter about appointments and changes to appts. Final outcome was appt at surgery and then hospital for result. Lots of messing about. No continuity with person you see. Cost of letters - 5 letters for 1 appt and result.

1 Unable to get hold of parkinsons nurse
2 I have had my appointment changed 3 times
3 Saw Dr before xmas he wanted to see me in March-then April- now it is June
4 The Letters were very polite letting me change appointment
5 Didn\'t feel involved

I would argue there is a strong case for a parkinson specialist nurse. I had to stop taking tablets because making condition worse. Then I had several falls breaking my shoulder and also my daughter had to phone for an ambulance on another occasion. Then I went to my GP Dr Massey and he said he thought i needed a pacemaker and so I am having tests done, However I feel I am being over medicated and that is what is making me dizzy but I don\'t know what tablet or tablets to stop. If i\'m right this is going to come and see ( next word unreadable ) .

A lot of money if NHS put me through cardiac tests when all I need is someone to monitor my tablets.
