All okay

Always found the practice very good for the 10 years I have lived in Lincolnshire

5/5

Would have been rating 5 for staff but the receptionist didn't listen to what I said. This is the second time the same one has seemed distracted.

Sometimes have to wait especially on Mondays, but I don't think it can be avoided - it's a big village

Ratings for Heckington branch

Having developed leg ulcers six years ago, the treatment by all staff has been "over the moon". They have gone out of their way to see that all possible treatment and comfort is foremost.

Have recommended it before to other people. Whenever I come here, they are helpful. Never had anything to complain about.

5/5

Heckington Surgery is more professional than some doctors and Sleaford Surgery

5/5

Waiting time rating is because I insist on seeing the same doctor because he is good. I travel from Grantham to see him.

I find this surgery lovely, the receptionists are a lot nicer than the Sleaford one!
Doctors and nurses are lovely!

First time here, staff all helpful and explained things to me

Had blood test for regular diabetes review. On time, results received two or three days later

Never had any issues with the service. Appointments are good and kept on time. Surgery is clean and tidy although some receptionists seem unwelcoming.

When requesting an appointment when it is urgent I expect it to be within 24 hours. I do not expect to have to go to A&E to receive treatment or diagnosis to achieve this.

I sometimes wonder whether practice nurses are as competent as doctors. Not saying doctors are always right but assume they are experts. They are clinically removed here............

4/5

Reception staff helpful and understanding

4/5

GP tends to ask rather than offer advice.
Open surgery is great, 99% of the time get in same day to see a nurse practitioner. Also good on-site physio

4/5

Wait in surgery is good - length of time to get appointment with doctor not good

4/5

Sometimes the staff at the dispensary can be rude/patronising towards me

4/5

I do not like the open surgery appointment system would much prefer a bookable system.

Staff attitudes can vary day to day. I need appointments for regular injections every 3 - 4 months but I am not allowed to book in advance which means I have sometimes to go over treatment time. Doctors very good, not enough appointments available.

It takes far too long to make an appointment, and we have to ring several times to make it.

Main concern is amount of time it takes to get an appointment to see a doctor not a nurse. Time factor is worrying as you get older and become more likely to require medical centre.

3/5

I find when I can get to see a doctor things are fine, it's getting past the receptionist, even when urgent

3/5

Not very many appointments, might have to wait weeks to see doctor

At first my Dr was lovely. I had an appointment at the Hospital and then an appointment was made with my GP for the Gynaecologist. This was cancelled in July '15 and I'm still waiting now 29th September. I have rung and all I receive is 'We are dealing with it'.

Had a lump on eyelid and GP said it was wart and could be treated with liquid nitrogen next time there was a clinic.
Took second opinion from Optician - who referred to BMI Lincoln but had to pay. Surgeon diagnosed cancer and excised it within 10 days and follow up appointments have taken place.
Asked for explanation from GP as to diagnosis and refund of payment as optician said shouldn't have had to pay.
Medical negligence company could not help with refund.

Heckington doctors miss diagnosed cancer as a urine infection and was told to stop booking appointments. Went to a further doctor and they diagnosed straight away and started treatment. Diagnosed 6 urine infections when there wasn't any indication to say there was one.
I have been very satisfied with the service i have received from Billingorough surgery and would recommend them to all.
