After the birth of my daughter last month, we had a five night stay on the Transitional Care Unit and I feel it is necessary to recognise the hard work of the staff on this ward. My care and support was delivered to me and my daughter in the most respectful and caring manner. The midwives and nursery nurses were absolutely amazing, always going the extra mile to ensure we were made comfortable and were happy with our care. I was always kept well informed of decisions planned for my daughters care, and I was involved in all decisions relating to my own health needs.

The food quality was much better than I could have ever expected from a hospital and the cleanliness of my room and the ward was extremely good.

Brilliant unit, and thanks to all the staff (from doctors to domestics), my daughter and I have had the right care to improve our health and be able to return home to start our lives together.

I had an appointment at the hospital in August. The whole experience was outstanding. Staff were polite and very helpful, I didn't have to wait too long, everything was fully and properly explained. I require follow up tests, appointments for 2 separate departments arrived within 4 days. Exceptional and outstanding - Head and Neck Department

Patient was diagnosed with very low kidney function 2 years ago. Once, patient had blood test was rapidly admitted and treated very well. Only negative was patient felt staff were under a lot of pressure, particularly at night, due to understaffing.
Both nursing staff and doctors were exceptionally caring and took time to explain situation when patient was very scared.

Star ratings for EMAS All staff on ambulance especially were very good and patient - 4hrs outside

4 hours waiting outside in ambulance.

Nurse - Just the one nurse was a let down all other staff very good.

Just after my heart attack I wet myself and nurse approached the bed and said (not in a nice way) \"oh dear\" you\'ve wet the bed - too loud - My husband said well she has just had a heart attack

Parking at peterborough is a problem and expensive, but happy with PCH generally, very clean. There is a useful newsletter from Peterborough and stamford.

5/5

The eye clinic staff and doctors are fantastic, without their help I could have lost the sight in one eye. Would defiantly give them five stars accross the board.

5/5

Everything fine, waiting time at pharmacy still takes far too long.

5/5

Lady had Physio in the hospital for hip replacement and none offered after discharge. felt she could have done with more support than an exercise sheet.

5/5

Very pleased with the whole experience today could not have been better

5/5

The staff should be more aware of support for relatives in addition to patient care and speak in a more respectable manner.
I think that PCH are generally very helpful but some (agency mainly) staff are not of the best quality.

Ambulatory dept.
All the staff and nurses were very friendly. They have a large turnover of patients so there is a lot of pressure on the staff. They manage incredibly well given the stress the service is under.

5/5

I am very pleased with the care + treatment I received over the past 4 yrs. The nurses were very polite, caring and patient with me. So I have no complaint.

It isn't easy to comply with pleasing each and everyone but they are doing the best. None of us are perfect, and everyone wine be better, let the professionals do their job as best they can.

I was referred there by my GP for emergency appointment. They saw me the same day even though their clinic was jammmed to the roof with patients. All the staff were kind and courteous. The Drs explained everything and talked me through treatment. If they had not seen me so quick I could have gone blind in that eye. They saved most of my sight.
Given the pressures put on all the staff, they all manage a professional and caring attitude towards patients

Ratings for Orthopaedic fracture clinic
On both occasions I have been seen on time or early. The staff have all been very friendly and professional. I was seen last thing on a Friday and the registrar stayed late to ensure I was seen by an expert consultant. The consultant then booked me in for emergency surgery the following day, a Saturday. I doubt I would have received the same level of service had I gone to a different hospital.

Excellent and efficient service. I went for appointment re cloudy vision following operations for removal of cataracts in both eyes in March and April 2014 at Fitzwilliam Hosp (NHS pt). An episode of a trial fibrillation, treated on the spot previously, but this time there's a shortage of beds so sent home and treated through out patients, with the result that fibrillation got settled in and cannot be corrected through cardio version.
I realise hospitals are busy but somebody might have mentioned private treatment, or otherwise fixed something I'm still blessed with!

No complaint generally, the other half came in to hospital over Christmas for 2 weeks, quite poorly as it turned out. He was fixed up and sent home and made a full recovery. Communication is poor, somebody turns up with a wheelchair for a test- he doesn't know what for and doesn't get any results. He can't tell me what's going on.

A&E
Visited 3 times in 3 days with food poisoning - son only admitted when mum insisted. Should not have had to visit 3 times plus one in Boston. It should have been dealt with more effectively. All young doctors very efficient and courteous, but it became a revolving door, don\'t think they would have admitted him but it was enough. More experienced doctors would have admitted quicker.
