Improved access times and larger space for Spalding blood clinic

People in need of a blood test in the Spalding area can now access a daily drop-in session without an appointment.

The phlebotomy clinic, which runs from Johnson Community Hospital, has introduced a drop-in session every day Monday to Friday from 8am to 12.30pm, where no appointment will be necessary.

Further changes mean the Blood Line available for people to telephone and make appointments has also been adjusted to open from 9am until 6pm Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays), while the clinic itself has been relocated further down the corridor in the Outpatients department into a larger room.

All other clinic times remain the same, with an appointment system running alongside drop-in times from 7.30am to 1.15pm.

"We have introduced these changes in response to increased demand for the service and to create more space for the clinic. We hope that by improving both access and the clinic room, we will be able to improve the efficiency of the service that we offer."
