NHS heroes recognised in Staff Excellence Awards
A bill of highly-rated staff and volunteers are included in the full shortlist for Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust's Making a Difference Every Day, Staff Excellence Awards 2019.
A judging panel comprising of patient and staff representatives and senior officials whittled down nominations to a shortlist of 29, after nearly 300 submissions were made for the awards. The awards look to honour some of the county’s top mental health and learning disability NHS services.
A celebration event will be held on Friday 7 June 2019 at Lincoln’s DoubleTree by Hilton, hosted by Lincs FM’s Sean Dunderdale.
Demand for mental health services is on the rise - which has made for a very challenging year for a number of services across the Trust.
But Trust Chair, Paul Devlin believes the awards acknowledge the team spirit that exists throughout the organisation - which has resulted in LPFT performing stronger than ever. Paul said:
“These awards are a great way of recognising the hard work and effort our staff and volunteers put into their roles every day.
All the finalists and everyone who received a nomination should feel immensely proud of their achievements.
A number of our services and staff have received national accolades this year, highlighting the strengths and care of the services they provide for the people of Lincolnshire.”
The Trust’s Staff Excellence Awards are the ninth of their kind, which look to appreciate some of the finest NHS workers in Lincolnshire.
This year, the awards are being sponsored by a number of local organisations who are generously supporting the event, including the University of Lincoln, Servelec, Peachy Events, Systematic Print Management, STALIS, Vinci Construction, Mayden and Civica.
Dr Sharon Black, Director of Nurse Education at the University of Lincoln said:
“It is a real privilege to be part of an event that recognises the hard work of a number of healthcare professionals across the county.
LPFT is always great with the students we send on placements, providing them first-hand clinical experience, but also sharing the passion and belief to make our trainee nurses understand the importance of delivering an exceptional patient-focussed service.”
