Lincolnshire’s main provider of mental health and learning disability services is holding a recruitment open day for professionals wishing to explore opportunities in the county’s mental health wards and crisis services.

There are a wealth of opportunities available in Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust’s (LPFT) mental health and learning disability services. The Trust is specifically looking for registered nurses and allied health professionals interested in supporting people with severe mental health problems.

The Trust is inviting anyone who is a registered nurse, whether in mental health, learning disabilities or general nursing, as well as allied health professionals such as social workers, occupational therapists and nursing associates to its open day for the chance to find out more about working for an award winning trust.

Attendees will find out more about what it’s like to work on local mental health wards, with the chance to be interviewed on the day.

The open day will offer the chance to meet members of its clinical teams and learn of the many benefits of working for the Trust, including career progression for those just finishing training and already qualified.

The open day will take place on Saturday 15 February between 11am-3pm at the Peter Hodgkinson Centre, Greetwell Road, Lincoln, LN2 5UA.

Eve Baird, Associate Director of Inpatient and Urgent Care Services at LPFT, said there’s never been a more exciting opportunity to join the team:

“Our staff are the cornerstone of what makes us an award-winning mental health and learning disability trust, and our commitment to them is reflected in the high ratings we’ve been given in our national staff surveys.

“We’re proud to have been rated by our own staff as one of the best mental health trusts in England, voted the second best mental health trust nationally in the 2018 staff survey. This is a Trust that genuinely cares about its people – alongside opportunities for career progression, we strive to keep our staff healthy and happy at work by offering a range of wellbeing programmes, and an excellent work-life balance.

“What makes this success possible is the excellent, well-trained and motivated teams we have working with us, and it’s a positive time to join the Trust with the recent influx of new investment and transformation we’ve seen across all of our services.

“This open day could open the door to a fantastic new career for any registered health professional, or anyone who’s nearing the completion of their qualification.

“If you’d like to see the wide variety of specialities and opportunities available in our inpatient services, or have the chance to be interviewed, this isn’t an opportunity to miss.”
