NHS stoma care, catheter and transanal irrigation (TAI) services survey
NHS Lincolnshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) is inviting people who use stoma, transanal irrigation (TAI), or catheter products and their carers to take part in a new survey to help improve services across Lincolnshire.
The survey aims to gather feedback on what works well, what could be improved, and how services can better meet local needs.
This forms part of the ICB’s review of prescribing practices and support services, with the goal of improving consistency, patient experience, and access to the right professional support at the right time.
About these products:
- A stoma is an opening created during surgery to allow waste to leave the body into a bag.
- TAI is a prescribed procedure used to flush the lower bowel with water to help manage chronic constipation or faecal incontinence.
- A catheter is a thin tube inserted to drain urine from the bladder; people may rely on different catheter types and accessories depending on their condition and lifestyle.
Anyone needing support to complete the survey, or requiring it in another format or language, can contact the Engagement Team:
